What the assistant can do

Check opening hours, kitchen closing times and closures in the next 30 days
Check free reservation times for a date and party size (up to 90 days ahead)
Book a table for 1–15 guests – the assistant asks for your confirmation first; if you provide an email address, you get a confirmation with a link to change or cancel

No groups of 16 or more – use the group request (16–40) or phone (over 40)
No access to customer accounts or existing reservations – change/cancel only via the link in your confirmation

How to connect

Pick your assistant. In every case: any name, the URL above, no authentication.

Claude (Web, Desktop, App)

Settings → Connectors → "Add custom connector".
Name "Bui Vien Street", URL https://buivien-restaurant.at/mcp, no authentication → add.
In the chat, enable the connector via the "+" menu.

Example: "Does Bui Vien Street have a table for 4 on Friday at 7 pm?"

On Team/Enterprise accounts an owner adds the connector.

ChatGPT

Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → enable Developer mode (OpenAI docs: Settings → Security and login → Developer mode – labels change from time to time).

In a new chat, pick the app via "+".

Note for OpenClaw users: the server makes binding bookings – allow bookings only after confirmation.

Privacy & limits

When you book, your assistant sends us your name, email and/or phone number, date, time, party size and an optional note. This data goes only into our reservation system and the confirmation email to you – we do not pass it on. What you write in the chat is additionally processed by your assistant's provider (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) under its own privacy policy. Requests to the MCP server are logged without name, email or phone number (only assistant, tool, truncated IP, time; 90 days). Bookings per contact and day are limited to prevent abuse. Details are in our privacy policy (German).

For developers

JSON-RPC 2.0 over Streamable HTTP (POST only, no SSE, no sessions). Protocol versions 2025-03-26 to 2026-07-28. Every tool returns structuredContent with an outputSchema and the same content as text. Test:

Notes for assistants

Please query opening hours, closures and availability via the tools instead of estimating from text. If a time is taken, the reply contains alternatives. A reservation counts as confirmed only when create_reservation returns status "confirmed"; pass the included manage link on to the guest unchanged.
